Bank Holiday ish stuff
May. 1st, 2006 05:58 pmToday I have driven my beautiful new car around for a bit because the insurance and tax have now kicked in. I also met
terrylbirch for lunch.
I managed to get my French assignment done and into it's envelope so that Mom can post it tomorrow.
The new painkillers from the specialist are working, taking the pain down to mild discomfort from please kill me now pain, which is a very good thing. Unfortunately, it means that I have to return to work :-( But it's probably a good thing that I get back so that I don't get too used to being at home. The transition will get harder for every day that I'm off, I know that, so getting back to work is very important.
And it means that I get to drive the new car, which is very important ;-) Except I've got to start work at my new site, which is less impressive :-(
To counter the work-returning depression, my CV has been finished and loaded onto a job site. I'm going to be hitting the remaining sites over the next few days and hopefully the interview offers will start flooding in *snort* At least the CV looks a lot better now than it did this time last year - I've got several months of commercial development experience and two websites under my belt now. No VB.Net experience, but at least I'm doing better than I was and I've got lots of SQL and VBA, plus a decent amount of PHP and MySQL. And really good HTML and CSS skills. Someone out there has to be looking for me :-)
