Home working report
Apr. 18th, 2006 07:58 pmI believe this working from home lark has worked out very well today. The work got done, nothing went dreadfully wrong and I even felt good enough at the end of the day to do some French work. The only thing that I need to refine is getting out for a walk at lunch - didn't quite happen today. But the next time I get to work from home I'll make sure that happens, too.
Hopefully Da Boss will agree that this is a good plan, get the network thingy authorised so that I have better access to files and the datawarehouse from home and we'll be able to do this regularly. I'd favour one or two days a week, but even just knowing that it's there for bad days would help.
I am now going to watch bad medical dramas before heading for bed *g*

It's a pretty cool icon and I'm glad that it actually looks like me :-) I made it at this site - http://illustmaker.abi-station.com/index_en.shtml
I like your icon, too. I noticed it when I went to your journal last night to find out what happened on Monday.

Date: 2006-04-26 09:19 am (UTC)In a way it was a relief to hear a specialist confirm that the pain isn't an outlet for depression but the other way around. I've actually been really worried about collapsing in tears at my GP's surgery in case she decides that I'm just depressed and that's causing the pain, rather than the pain making me ocassionally teary. Unfortunately, there is a GP up there who has made that diagnosis before with me which is probably where that fear comes from. I now refuse to see her :-) Being put on anti-depressants that I don't need and that in fact make me feel iller isn't a good plan. It was amazing how much better I was able to cope with life when the cause of the pain was found.
I'm hoping that this time, even though the pain has gone on a lot longer than the strained neck that the useless GP misdiagnosed, the same will be true and I'll find it easier to be cheerful and happy when the pain has actually been treated.
But that was a very interesting and useful show - I've bookmarked it and will be attempting to record it into MP3 later.

Date: 2006-04-26 09:23 am (UTC)But adore Diagnosis Murder because it's just so classically cliched and daft. My tastes in dramas aren't exactly sophisticated...
