Holiday Day 7: A quiet grumble
Mar. 26th, 2006 05:50 pmDear Body,
I know that I'm missing my aunt, but that doesn't mean you can start playing up like this. Yes, we took her to the airport today and that required a lot of sitting followed by some standing and then some more sitting. That doesn't mean you need to be painful.
Also, this bit where you've let the painkillers make me dopey and woozy for the first time since I started taking them? *So* not helping me. So really, would you just quit it so that I can enjoy the final day of my holiday in peace?
No love,
Your disgruntled owner
I had planned to finish writing the current Teyla/Weir fic, but it's a slightly-above-PG13 sex scene and the dopey wooziness isn't really condusive to writing such matters. I may have to spend some time with the Sims and then watch bad TV instead.
In other news, Da has sprained his ankle badly. He's not a happy camper. He actually agreed to take Ibuprofen for it, which is a sign that it's agonisingly painful. We've got it bandaged, he's got a walking stick (er, my walking stick) but he's mostly just sitting with his leg up. It's less painful for the rest of us because watching him walk is...ouch!!
