"Don't warn the tadpoles"
Jul. 13th, 2004 06:01 pmThere's an adorable scene in What's My Line 1 (Buffy) where Willow falls asleep on a book in the library after a long night's research. Aside from shouting "Don't warn the tadpoles" and not being terribly cute, that was me this afternoon. Possibly one of the most boring college texts ever (normalisation of relations in relational databases - it's actually worse than it sounds) combined not much sleep and I fell asleep at my desk, head missing the keyboard by inches, for about twenty minutes. Guh. Not even coffee could help me get through it awake.
I wrote a new Thing, so there's just one left before the fic goes to beta, and I was finally allowed to access Geocities sites today so the day didn't suck entirely. Just mostly. Bleh.
I'm going to spend the evening reading (er, OK, re-reading) Order of the Phoenix because many people seem to have been referring to it lately and I feel like I'm a bad Harry Potter geek for only having read it once. In my defense, I lent it to Mom about eleven months ago and she's only made it to page 223, so I haven't actually had access to it to re-read. But now I've borrowed it back (er...) so I can read it.
