Why didn't anyone warn me that last night's SGA was a TBC? There I was, happily enjoying teh pretty and loving the plottiness etc., and just as *massive spoiler* is about to happen, 'To be continued' flashes up.

Eeeep!!

And the announcer says there won't be any more SGA until 11th January. Gah! I mean, it's not like Christmas or New Year are on a Wednesday - do we really need a break that long?

OK, I know that my fellow fans in the USA have had to wait even longer and still won't get the resolution for another few weeks (I assume - this is where you guys cut off, right?), but still...

I'm feeling all unsettled. It happens every Christmas, but I still feel all anxious becaue of the TBC-ness of last night's episode.

Yes, I'm bored at work today and whittering :-)

they only got as far as 2x10, canada showed up thru 2x15 (that was monday night's episode)
so, yeah, a cliffie, yeah, annoying, BUT less pause b/w eppies, and whatnot, and 5 weeks ahead of the US, so... :)

The 11th is ages away. I mean I can understand stopping for one week as it's obviously not possible to show normal programs over Christmas. But what about the 4th?

Was it just me, or was this like, quite a dull episode?

I mean, there was whole bits I enjoyed, like you know Rodney, and umm, well the Ronon and Teyla sparring amused me lots.

And of course there was the ´Wow´ and OMG, Ford so knows what John´s achilles heel was, what with taking McKay as hostage and everything.

And yeah, there was Lorne, and Elizabeth being all concerned and cute.

OK, seriously, apart from all that...ha, it was dull no?

Er, I rather enjoyed it and got fairly caught up in it :-) I promise that it wasn't all about the Teyla sparring thing - I really did enjoy the episode. Maybe I'm in the flush of the new episode happiness *g* The only episode that I've found rather dull so far this season was the one that introduced Ronon. I missed parts of it due to preparing for SG-10 and just haven't had the interest to go back and re-watch. I like the character and I'm enjoying watching his backstory gradually appear and the growth of the character, but his first episode just didn't grab me.

The jury is still out for me regarding Ronon. For me he´s...there. As pretty background.

Maybe it´s just because I want more story devoted to the original characters, LIKE omg to hear something about Sheppard backstory, and I don´t that opportunity wasted on Ronon´s story.

Ronon has been growing on me. I was very 'meh' when he first appeared, but he's slowly developing and I like the hints of a very dry sense of humour that we keep getting. I'm also interested in his backstory, before the Wraith came, because I'm sensing that this might be something important to future developments.

But yeah, lots of story devoted to the original characters would be very good :-) I think that the attention Ronon has had is due to him not being an original character - it happens on any show where they introduce a new regular character like that. At least he's more interesting than Ford :-) They'll get the balance back when they feel that we're attached and involved enough with him. Unlike Seven in Voyager, the other characters are actually interesting enough and the fans like them enough for them to keep carrying the show. Sadly that wasn't true of Voyager and the reason Seven had so much extra attention (IMO) is because he made the show more interesting.

Ronon is a good character, but he's not like that. I'm still much more attached to me original characters. I'd love to see more background for all of them, particularly more about what they were doing before the Atlantis expedition and what Teyla's life was like before she meet our guys.
