Crawls out of woodwork...
Dec. 3rd, 2005 05:22 pmSo it turns out that I can't drive thirty-two miles with a raging headache, nausea, sore throat and dizziness. Who knew?
Yup, I've been home sick on Thursday and Friday (how I made it through Wednesday - and safely home - is a mystery) and I haven't even been able to play my lovely new computer game 'cos my head hurt too much. Bleh.
Went shopping in Oxford today and probably overdid it (hip now hurts like a bugger and I feel the beginning of a cold...) but it was worth it. Spent three hours in my local town last weekend looking for a decent winter coat - y'know, one that was actually warm and not made from itchy wool? No luck. Five minutes in Oxford and I've found the perfect coat. Plus some new tops for work. Also managed to find a warmer dressing gown, gifts for all the uncles and aunts, Mom found the calendar that Da wants and a few nice things for sis and I treated myself to a new book. Lesson: never shop locally when you can drive to Oxford and find everything in half the time. Plus, Oxford is pretty :-)
I must now wade through my emails and try to do some useful worky stuff before having fun with Sims.

Date: 2005-12-04 01:24 pm (UTC)I'm not sure what it's called. It's down by the bus stop in St Aldates - it's a little cafe that sells home made ice cream, among other things. There's a couple of sorbets that are definitely dairy free that I've had. They do use the same machines to make it though, so that might make a difference depending on how strict he is.
