From the trenches...
Aug. 23rd, 2005 06:16 pmFinally got the rejection from the interview four weeks ago that I mucked up. I've always known that I wasn't going to get the job, but it was one that I really wanted so I am still a bit disappointed.
Spent most of the afternoon at the archery shop getting a new piece fitted to my bow. It took a lot longer than I'd planned, so I haven't had time to make any of the phone calls that I'd planned to make or start the week's round of job applications. Tomorrow is going to be the big job app day. Urk.
Nutty Colleague was rather quiet today, worryingly quiet. Didn't stop her making a couple of daft requests or sending me on a cake run (the woman is determined to make me fat, but I was strong and resisted the temptation, even though the sausage rolls smelled really, really good...), but she was still worryingly quiet. Hmm.
PHP learning has reached validation. So thrilling. The next chapter is on sessions, though, which will finally give me the tools to implement users and adminstrators and all of that cool stuff.
I am such a geek :-)
