Back to reality

selenayLook, see, this is a real post with content and no meme! Go me!
Possibly I need food. Or sleep. Or both.
I return with renewed vigor for finding a real job, aided and abetted by the sheer boredom of my temp job. Argh! So I've revised my CV, sent it off to an agency and applied for a graduate position. Tomorrow I may apply for more. I'm also revising the design of my portfolio website because at the moment it's rather 'blah'. Of course, I wrote and designed the thing in less than two days so that may explain it. But I've also been reading the book by the guy behind the CSS Zen Garden, which had lots of really interesting design stuff and many useful CSS tips. Um, yes, that was holiday reading *g* I didn't quite make it through my big stack of books, but I got quite far along.
And I hit Chapters in Halifax. Oops. Came out with a quite a haul:
Hallowed Hunt - Lois McMaster Bujold (because it will never be published here *sigh*)
The Outstretched Shadown - Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory
Princess Bride - William Golden
The Last Light of the Sun - Guy Gavriel Kay

I only went in there for the Bujold ::hangs head:: But they had this "buy 3 paperbacks, get a fourth free" and I...couldn't resist. Oops. It was something of a struggle to find somewhere to put all my loot in the luggage on the way home. Next time, I am taking a bigger bag because it is impossible for me to resist buying stuff. Like new Gap jeans and cute little tops. And cookies. And chocolates. And gifts.
But at least I didn't buy two new suites ::carefully avoids looking at Father::
I have to say that Da looks rather smashing in his new suites. They fit and everything. He's very tall and lean, so finding suites of the right proportions is a struggle. But these? I swear that Mom was drooling, which is very disturbing to me *g*
And now I'm babbling. Must go eat yummy sticky maple sausages.
