Why today is unfair to me

selenayThe only reason that I came to work today instead of calling in sick and sleeping for 16 hours (insomnia FTW!) was because I had two important meetings and a doctor's appointment.
By the time I got back from my appointment, both meetings had been cancelled.
Damn it, I could have stayed in bed, gone to the doc's in my jammies and then gone home and gone back to bed! Instead I'm here. Feeling icky and tired. Working. IN A SUIT.
Pro tip: don't wear a white, long-sleeved shirt when getting a flu shot. No matter how good it looks with your cute new blazer. Go short sleeved and dark colours, particularly if you're a doofus who forgets to put on the band aid that the doctor is holding out so that you bleed on your shirt. The shirt that you had to remove to expose enough shoulder for the shot *headdesk*
In more cheering news...
I have scrolled through the entire Yuletide tagset on AO3 and I have three prompts that I'd really, really like to see written. Normally I'm fairly meh about the prompts because I'm in this for the writing. But this year? Yeah, I like my prompts :-D
I've also got a good list of things that I'd be happy to write and most of them I'd be really ecstatic to write. Hopefully Yuletide is going to be a blast this year. Woo!

femslash12 assignment in the sense that I'm on version two because version one just didn't want to be written. The second attempt is going better and I'm hopeful about having a full draft ready for me to revise massively by the end of the month. That puts me on track for sending it to my beta early next month. And then I can start my C/C exchange fic :-D
There may also be one or two other WIPs that I'm playing with...
