So, I'm editing this 5+1 Things fic where I like things 1, 2, 3, and 5, but things 4 and 6 are still troubling me. Argh, fic, why aren't you working for me? Thing 4 I can live with. I think my issues with it are that it's not quite as funny as I want it to be but then it probably shouldn't be LOL hilarious because of what it does in the overall story so it's fine.

Thing 6 is OK-ish in places, but no matter what I do it feels like it ends too quickly. Or abruptly. Or something. I've rewritten the second part of it twice now and I'm still unhappy with it. Oh, fic, why are you trying to defeat me?

It's because I wrote about 'going for coffee' as a euphamism for 'can we have sex now' earlier in thing 6 and I don't do the porn thing, isn't it?

Last night there was epic sushi with the parents. Tonight I'm spending time with my dad, checking over my archery equipment and possibly setting up a new string so that I'm all ready when I finally get in contact with the new club. And tomorrow he's off to the airport to return to England. It's been lovely having him here. I won't miss all the dirty dishes and hogging my TV system and hogging the bathroom and...

Just so you know, my dad isn't a teenage girl even though he sometimes has some of those bad habits.

Anyway, I won't miss those things but I will miss my dad and at least I'm sending him back to England looking less like a half-dead exhausted thing than he was three weeks ago. And I'll see him in Feburary when I'm in England for Redemption.

Note to self: buy flights for Feburary.
