selenaySo, the client put up print-outs of my design for the group's website at a meeting today. Everyone liked them, which is very cool.
And someone asked who was designing the site and intimated that he might want to hire my services. For a commercial fee. Huh.
Scary.
I've got a meeting with the group's committee a week on Tuesday and this guy might come along so that he can chat to me. Urp.
Still, possible paycheck. It may not go anywhere, but it's an exciting possibility. If it does pan out as anything, it looks like I'm going to be setting up as a company to make accounting and tax easier. And I have this convenient accountant sitting on the sofa downstairs working on his own stuff. Accountant fathers are so useful.
Damn, I'm gonna wind up being a freelance web designer, aren't I?
Now I'm going to watch Doctor Who and try to forget about scary career stuff. There may be icons tomorrow 'cos I went on an iconning binge yesterday. And possibly fic. Maybe.
