Fic etiquette question
Jun. 29th, 2012 07:16 pmIf, say, an author had written a fic with a "McGuffin made them do it" sort of plot, fully intending it to be a ridiculous one-shot, and then realized that the insane crack fic about the PR manager that has to deal with that stuff when it goes public that she was writing was, in some ways, a follow up to it, would it be appropriate to call it a series?
And if an author did that, what in heck would she call it?
Because I think that I've done that.
And, for any AO3 users out there, is is possible to retroactively add a fic to a series without reposting that fic?
