It was a dark and stormy night...
Oct. 30th, 2011 05:29 pmWe're having a rather impressive storm right now. Rain lashing, winds gusting to crazy heights...
Mum and I have torches posted around the house, a thermos of hot water for tea and we ate a cooked lunch. So it won't be a total disaster if the power goes out and we won't be hungry and grumpy. That probably means we'll keep the power :-)
If we do get to keep the power, I intend to spend the evening catching up on Merlin and Holby City. We've got two episodes of each to watch and we'll see how far we get.
Last night we watched all the S2 episodes of Downton Abbey aired so far. It's rather addictive. We'd planned just to watch one, but we couldn't stop. Eep.
I've still got the last two episodes of Spooks to catch up on and I haven't finished watching New Tricks yet. So I'm not likely to be bored yet!
On my PVR there are a couple of episodes of CSI:NY, an episode of Gray's Anatomy and there will be another episode of Once Upon A Time there if the power stays on tonight. I think that Bones starts again this week - yay!
You'd think that I'm a TV addict. Somehow this month I've read eight books as well. I should get over 75 books read this year - I'll hit that target in the middle of next month - and I'm quite pleased that the vast majority of those books have been excellent. Mount TBR hasn't shrunk at all: I think it's actually grown despite the number of books I've read from the shelves. This may be due to a small addiction that I have to buying books...
For many reasons, my knitting progress has been very slow. Usually I'd get a lot done while I'm watching TV, but between back pain and exhaustion it's not been easy.
Tomorrow is Halloween. Thankfully the weather is predicted to be lovely tomorrow so I should get a good turnout. Is it wrong for me to try to keep back a few of my favourite chocolate bars?
