TGIF! (I spelled it right this week)
Aug. 19th, 2011 10:19 pmHooray for weekends!
Except, instead of goofing off and spending the day doing lazy, fun stuff tomorrow, I am getting up at the crack of dawn for a day filled with chores and being an adult. No kidding, I'm getting up slightly earlier than I would for work to get my car to the dealership for its inspection. Oh, Saturday, you are supposed to involve a wee bit more sleep than that.
Tonight I shall make sure that my Kindle is filled with a good mix of books because many of my chores involve sitting in various offices and boring places while other people do things with my car, hair, life etc. Ugh.
I'm totally sleeping in on Sunday. Yup, I'm blowing off church for some kip so that I don't have an exhaustion-induced melt-down next week. I'm so incredibly tired right now.
As the weather is supposed to be pretty warm over the weekend, I'm taking advantage of my new ability to eat salads and raw veggies and having cold suppers that take minimal prep. Not because I'm lazy (I'd actually love to do some proper cooking and experimenting while I'm mother-less) but if I don't have to turn on the oven/stove, then I won't. Yay. Guacamole and pita chips count as supper food, right?
Today there was a work lunch, which panicked me briefly yesterday (brain, WTF?) but I was much calmer about it by morning and I even ordered the thing that sounded good rather than whatever healthy option I'd had in mind. So it was fish and chips, which were nom. Admittedly, I left half the batter and most of the chips because wow that was a lot of food but it was good. My tummy is fine and I'm feeling pretty happy. The only downside is that now I can't go out of supper to the yummy local place because I ate a big lunch and a big supper would kill me.
So, left-over lentil loaf and salad for supper. Which is also nom. And maybe something tasty for my evening snack, if I stay awake that long.
I think that tonight will either be veging with something on Popcorn or veging with Netflix. Tomorrow night may be the same. OMG, I am so very, very tired. It is a miracle that I didn't fall asleep at work. Heck, I nearly did when I ended up eternally on hold at one stage. Such a shock when someone finally answered the phone...

I've been doing this for several months now. I kind of feel bad but sleep is so important too. (I need to find night services, I think.)
