Mental note
Feb. 18th, 2005 09:49 pmApparently,
mmmchelle and
thegrrrl2002 have co-written a fic. And I'm resisting the temptation to click in and read it immediately. Damn, I'm a good girl. Part one can be found here and part two is here. Why am I being so good? I have yet to see the final few eps of Atlantis and there are apparently spoilers. So goodness is the way forward.
Note that I'm leaving myself a note here so that I can go back in a couple of weeks and read the fic :-) I'm about ready to have a celebratory party at seeing two of my favourite writers teaming up :-)
In other news, the Serpent sequel is still flowing scarily well. I have to force myself to put the pen down when it gets too late in the evening. Why can't the original novel flow this well?
Hmm, well, it would help if I opened the notepad that I've been writing the original novel in :-)

Date: 2005-02-18 10:12 pm (UTC)Oh, that sounds so familiar. *g* I don't know about you, but for me, writing original fiction isn't nearly as fun or rewarding as fan fiction. That's sad, but true.

I'm glad you're writing. /g/

Date: 2005-02-18 11:04 pm (UTC)*g* It goes in phases for me. A few weeks ago, the original stuff was much more fun than the fanfic and I was struggling just to look at the thing I was working on. Now the fanfic is more fun and it's the original stuff that's struggling.
Obviously I'm destined to be a writer who flits from project to project depending on mood rather than just sitting down and going from start to finish on one thing.

*g* I'm glad that I'm writing, too. Who knows? Maybe some more Teyla/Weir snippets will get finished as well. Y'never know...

Date: 2005-02-19 12:08 am (UTC)Although I have to confess to a shameful liking for Weir/Zelenka as a pairing. I'm sorry. I know it's icky het, but it's Zelenka.
The blubbage wasn't that bad. I do think it's a damn good fic, much better than I think we were expecting it to be, although it's also much darker.
I'll stop chatting now and leave you to your writing.
