Random Tuesday stuff
May. 10th, 2011 06:39 pm- Appetite changes due to prednisone withdrawal suck.
- On the one hand, I'm quite happy about not wanting to gnaw my own arm off from hunger all the time ala last week. But this week's variant of no appetite includes not wanting to eat and feeling full after three bites. Argh.
- I hate prednisone.
- It is raining more today than it was yesterday.
- However, it is impossible to feel depressed when listening to Starlight Express.
- If I go to England next year, I need to book tickets for at least one musical.
- That musical may be Starlight (is it still running in London?).
- Supper yesterday was raisin bran and a glass of OJ, due to time constraints. Not having an appetite at least helped there because I still felt full when I went to bed.
- Trying not to feel guilty about not working out yesterday. After all, I did lots of stuff on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I'll be working out tonight. A day off is allowed every now and again.
- My brain is obsessive. At least it's not calorie tracking?
- One of my friends had twins this morning. They're adorable.
- OMG, twins! How do people cope with this stuff? I find two cats hard work!
- It's a good thing I've chosen not to have children, I think, due to that.
- My current read is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It's very good.
- I really need to read some things from Mount TBR. It's getting silly now.
- My spine has turned into a rice krispie over the last couple of weeks. I hope it's the pred taper, so I'm waiting until the pred is out of my system before asking (again) for a rheumatology referral.
- My Annie cat is just too adorable. This morning, she was all pouty because I was running ten minutes later than normal and thus upset her cuddle schedule. We cuddle during my cup of coffee and she was already in my chair, waiting for cuddles, before I'd even eaten. She got the coffee-time cuddles, but it was all off-schedule and I'm sure she's spent all day muttering about humans messing up her day.
