I have given in and asked my agency to pull me out of my contract. The CEO of the company is a bully, I feel sick every time he walks in the door and I can't cope anymore. Gah. I'm feeling rather guilty about only being able to stick it out four weeks, but I've been so stressed about it and I finally slept properly the night after contacting the agency so it was the right decision. I've agreed to stay until the end of next week (i.e. the 11th) and then I'm gone. Hopefully that should give them time to find another temp to replace me - maybe one who won't get unreasonably stressed by the bullying CEO *sigh* Everyone there agrees that he's a problem, he's the reason why so many staff leave...and there ain't a damn thing that can be done.
Guh.
I'm also going to ask the agency to find me part-time work instead of full-time so that I can have an income and have some time to actually look for a permanent position. The really gutting part? The CEO offered me a job on Friday. My dream job. And I'm going to spend the next week finding reasons why I can't take it without offending the man and saying that it's because of him. It's going to be hell. Why did I agree to stay until the end of the week?
I'm a mug, that's why *sigh*
I've done a little bit of work on the next Teyla/Weir thing and I unfortunately picked up a notepad and...began the sequel to Serpent. Whoops *g* Today's plan is yet more work on the website upgrade followed by a Chinese take-out and gossip session with T. So I'll be nice and de-stressed, ready for a week of hell.
Oh, and the archery is going really, really well :-)) Beginner's lessons are over and I've joined the company. Yay! First club night is on Thursday and I'll get to shoot a full round and start building scores to work out my handicap. All very complicated, but hugely fun. Plus I got an arrow in the gold on Friday, which is always worth yaying over.
