Suggestions needed!
Dec. 5th, 2010 05:15 pmI have these indulgent "eat food and watch DVDs over Christmas" plans in the making. To that end, I am going to put in an order with Amazon for a couple of DVDs to supplement my Christmas pressies, just in case everyone focusses on the books.
I'm trying to get together a short-list to choose from. So far I have:
Hamlet (David Tennant version)
Inspector Lewis box-set
House of Cards Trilogy
North and South (Richard Armitage version)
Private Practise S1 (for light-hearted fun)
I'll probably pick two or three things, depending on cost but want to have a good meaty list to choose from.
I've got a number of other things on my main Christmas wishlist, but wanted to know whether there's anything that my f-list would recommend should be up for consideration? I'm trying to make this list things that I haven't seen yet (so Sherlock and Doctor Who are off) and I'm equally happy with new things aired in the UK this year or older things from either side of the the Atlantic that I really need to watch and adore.
So, any suggestions from the peanut gallery?
