It's going to be a bad week, isn't it?
Jul. 27th, 2010 05:33 pmIt looks like doing an hour or two of work from home every night is going to be the norm this week. Urgh. Thankfully I'm getting to finish in time to take Mum out to supper tonight. Neither of us would have been happy if I'd been forced to change our plans.
Why no, the kitchen isn't finished. We finally got most of the cabinets in place, although one cabinet has been cobbled together from some broken ones (that aren't important from a fit POV) so that we could have a guideline to the fit along one wall. The broken stuff (two wall cabinets and the fridge cabinet) will be replaced whenever the supplier finally gets their arse into gear. Our contractor is unhappy. We are now waiting for the counter guys to come out and measure up.
This is why we're going out for supper. Cooking in the rubble of a kitchen is only tolerable for so long before we lose hope and need a meal out.
In positive things, we watched the new Sherlock Holmes thing and absolutely loved it. Can't wait for the next one! Someone, tell me the BBC has already announced that they want more?
