How to give a cat owner a heart attack
Jun. 23rd, 2010 09:04 amSo, as part of the work last week to move and add electrical sockets in the kitchen, the guys had to cut a small hole in the ceiling above the breaker box, which lives in my office.
It’s a cat-sized hole.
This morning, I was writing an email to my boss, looked up and saw the lower half of Annie poking out of the ceiling. The upper half was in the bloody hole and she was trying to figure out how to get her lower legs inside the ceiling.
Nearly had a heart attack.
She currently dislikes me because I used her tail to pull her out. What? It was the only thing handy!
Now I’m constantly looking up at that hole, feeling very nervous, and hoping like heck that the contractor can patch that today. I’d lock them out of the office, but I’m waiting for deliveries (appliances!) and contractors and can’t hear anything when the office door is closed. Today is going to suck, isn’t it?
