Santa's on his way
Dec. 24th, 2009 04:12 pmIn a couple of hours, I shall bundle up and brave the roads to attend Midnight Mass. For me, that's when Christmas starts and it doesn't feel right to celebrate without remembering the events we're celebrating. Tomorrow morning we'll pop down to church for a family service, starting Christmas "right" and then we'll move onto the portion of the day where we eat food, open presents and watch Doctor Who.
Which is all a way of saying that I possibly won't be on line again until Boxing Day and I want to wish everyone reading this a very happy Christmas.
{{{hugs}}} to you all.

Date: 2009-12-24 10:04 pm (UTC)Going to Midnight Mass when I was a kid was a sign of being all grown up :-)
I'm not religious at all now (although a couple of years ago, God and I came to an agreement - he kept his side of the deal, I'm keeping mine by keeping an open mind), and I married an aethiest, but I watched the carol service from Kings and it was beautiful - I need the carols more than I need the religion, because it makes it feel like Christmas.
I hope that's not offensive in any way, it's not supposed to be at all....
