Yuletide noms

A few hours under the deadline, I've submitted my nominations for Yuletide. Looks like I'll be going for it again this year :-)

I'm hopeful about 5 of my fandoms getting accepted, although whether there will be enough noms for the sixth is debatable.

Just one question - has Buffy lost so much power that someone seriously thinks it can qualify as a rare/obscure fandom? And yes, it was the TV series rather than the movie. Either I'm even further out of touch than I realised or someone out there hasn't found the thousands of Buffy fics yet.

As someone who has been a constant participant in Yuletide chat, we've seen a lot of noms like that. They'll be cleaned out of the database when nominations close.

Also, all it takes is one nomination to get a fandom accepted. The only reason it would be turned down is if the fandom was overlarge. :)

I'm glad that I'm not crazy!

And yay for only one nom! At the moment, I have the feeling that there are only two of us nomming that fandom, seeing as it was already in the database when I checked and it seems to me like the kind of thing that would have an almost non-existent fandom.

I'd forgotten how much fun Yuletide is :-D

Remember that just because only two people nominated it doesn't mean that other people won't see it on the list and think "ooh, I could write that".

I am too. I nominated 4 fandoms that are incredibly obscure and haven't been in the database before, as much because I'd like to write them as like to read them. :)
