I just realised that it's 4th June. Sign-ups closed for femslash09 on June 3rd. Bother.

I knew that I should have done my sign-up on the day (hoping I made decent choices in my rush) rather than looking for a clear two hours to do a properly thought out sign-up.

Remind me not to do that again, 'kay?

At least there will be some lovely femslashy fic to read soon, even if I haven't had the challenge of actually writing any of it for a pairing that I'd never have envisaged on my own!

I shall cheer myself up by going to knit in a sushi restaurant.

You can always offer to pinch hit. I bet they won't close that. The only time I ever participated in that ficathon was as a last minute pinch hit.

Right now, I've got five things in the process of being edited and nothing else on the go apart from the original novel. My head is fresh out of plots and inspiration :-( That's one of the nice thing about ficathons - being forced to come up with an idea, often with a prompt that you'd never have come up with, and then actually having a deadline to write it.

Branch out. Write something outside of your normal genre. Find out some local history, do something "inspired by real events" then get it published in the local paper or equivalent. Or some actual non-fiction. Submit something to 365tomorrows. Write a poem about your view of the sea.

I expect to see something by July 6th. Get to it. ;-)
