Now that looks nasty
Mar. 19th, 2008 10:06 amMy minion came into work looking rather dazed today. And slightly covered
with blood.
He'd hit his head as he jumped onto his train. Poor love.
We sent him down to occupational health to get it look at. They got a first
aider to look at it and advised him to get it checked at the hospital. He's
got a nice cut on the top of his head that is still bleeding two hours
later. NHS Direct has been consulted and they concur so Da Boss is currently
taking Minion down to the community hospital. With any luck he just needs it
cleaning and a couple of stitches, but he will also probably need a tetanus
shot because he can't remember when he last had one. He's insisting that
he'll be back to work when he's been sorted, but somehow I have a feeling
that he won't. He certainly won't feel like it if they have to stitch!
So I'm down one Minion. Aw.
Frustratingly, it's my last day at work before Easter and we were supposed
to be having a hand-over session this afternoon. So I'll probably have to
email him with all the instructions and advice. Ah, well, I'd rather have a
healthy Minion than a Minion with an untreated head wound.
