Dear Finance,

While I know that you like variety in your life, setting negative sales
budgets for high selling areas makes my brain hurt. Stop doing it.

If you have released incorrect sales budgets to the data warehouse then why
did you not perform a little thing called "data integrity testing" before
you signed off the tables?

Hmm! Negative sales budgets! Sure that'll work well for returned items... no... I was trying to think about it, and my brain's lost it again.

My brain started hurting after a while on this one. Turns out that to balance the budget overall, they were transferring budgets from one area to another. Except someone somewhere made a stupid error and transferred the whole budget plus a bit to another area, resulting in a negative budget in one place and a stonking, stupid-ass budget in a low selling area.

Grrragh! So glad that I don't have to deal with this for a week :-)
