Now I'm mad

This morning I went out to my car to go to work, as I do every morning, and discovered that some evil little toe-rag has vandalised my car. It rained overnight so I used the windscreen wipers to clear the windscreen, which was when I discovered that the driver's side windscreen wipers are gone.

As in, entire wiper arm ripped off, not just the blade gone.

Grrr.

With rain forecast today and my commute including a considerable amount of motorway driving I can't risk driving the car like that. Thankfully I worked from home yesterday so I could go to a physio appointment so I have the doodads needed to work from home today, otherwise I'd be thoroughly stuffed. I'm just waiting for it to get light enough to see whether there has been any other damage and then I'll be calling my mechanic.

I actually had plans for the money that I shall now be spending to repair my car. Pissed off? Me? Never!

However chocolate, coffee and fluffy fic would be appreciated *sniffs mournfully*

It may be the week for it. Yesterday I was very late leaving for the one client who I go and visit on the bike and it wouldn't start. It had been just a fraction sniffy on Saturday but fine on Sunday. So I had to take the bus (well, 2) and be even later. So that's £60 gone ordering a new battery this morning. It has clearly got wind of my intention to sell it and is trying to make life as awkward as possible in the meantime.

The only up side that I've found is that I'll finish work early enough to get to archery tonight. Except I don't have a car to drive myself to archery...

Maybe we should just stab and kill this week and hope that next week gets better? Or enjoy the fact that it's getting closer to the weekend so we can hide under duvets...

Tempting, but I think more trouble than it's worth. There will always be evil little blighters out there and I doubt that they'll ever actually get caught.

Thankfully it shouldn't be quite so stupidly expensive as I initially thought - they've snapped the wiper off at the base rather than ripping out the entire mechanism so I don't require any electronics work. Just a mechanic with the part (has to be ordered) and a monkey wrench.

As it happens, part of this weekend is likely to be spent wandering around the Natural History Museum (huge Dinos included) :-)
