Working from home again

selenayI have physio today so I'm working from home again. Yay! The nice thing is that I can have the radiators at whatever temperature I want, I can wear a warm fleece if I want...in other words, I can actually feel comfortably warm today. I believe that our company is "saving the planet" by reducing the amount of heating they use in their offices and stores. In fact, I've seen the propaganda about why they've cut the heating use. I've also seen the complaints from frozen workers in the stores about how bloody cold it is.
Am I overly suspicious to see this as a money saving exercise rather than a planet saving one?
Yesterday was hell and I am currently at the "If I make it through to 4pm Friday then I'll have done well" stage. I managed to eat half my lunch by sitting at my desk with the iPod on, refusing to talk to anyone for five minutes while I refuelled. That was my entire break yesterday in a ten hour day. And in fact, that was the only thing that I ate between breakfast at 6.30am and supper at 8.30pm. Half a sandwich. Wonder why I felt so drained yesterday?
And my boss mentioned the words "Saturday cover" in one of my many meetings. Who wants to bet that I won't be the Saturday cover for the whole of December and the Christmas period? Nope, I didn't think that anyone would take that bet. I actually have things planned for most of those Saturdays so I can see that we're going to be having some debates about that one.
I feel that I am whining now so I'll sign off, get some work done and then write up a review of SJA.
