Yesterday I was so exhausted that I kept trying to fall asleep during the
drive home. Not good. This afternoon I plan to load myself up with cola and
chocolate to ensure that I'm so caffienated and sugared up I can't do that
again *g*
Speaking of chocolate...did you guys hear that Cadbury's is bringing back
the Wispa? Hee! Loved that bar :-)
For some reason, I'm feeling extremely homesick for Canada today. I'm
homesick for my aunt's voice, the ocean, the city I'm going to live in...I'm
even homesick for the superstores, which is crazy! I suspect that it's
because the parents are going over next week and I can't go. Or possibly
that we've had an American hanging around in the office all week and even a
vaguely Northern America accent is hyping up the homesickness.
I'd always promised myself that I wouldn't make the move until I'm more
homesick for Canada than enjoying England. I think that I've reached that
stage so it seems quite right that I'm going to mvoe next year.
Tonight I plan to do some college work and then watch the last couple of
episodes of House while working on my rug. I am too tired for words.
Chocolate, methinks!

Oh, I miss Wispas! Although these days I miss all sorts of other chocolates as well :)
Interesting, there's a new guy in our office who's from Nova Scotia.

Date: 2007-08-23 07:59 pm (UTC)I can't wait for you to move. I'll get to talk to you on the phone and hear your cute little accent and be in a much much nearer time zone. It's the small things you know :)

Date: 2007-08-23 09:55 pm (UTC)I don't know which part, I only remember him mentioning Nova Scotia - anything else he said about where would have gone over my head. I only heard of the place at all not that many years ago! And I thought it was in Scotland (they do both start with Scot...).

hear your cute little accent
My accent is really rather normal and English. Er, to my ears, anyway :-)
Yes, closer time zones will make it much easier to chatter!

Date: 2007-08-24 06:36 pm (UTC)Possibly. To be honest, I still have trouble with it at times. Hopefully that will change once I'm living there and hearing the accent all the time.

Fair enough :-) You'll have to check out some maps before you visit next year...

*snort* Oh dear. Heh. Well, I suppose you have a point there...

Today I'm fine. Totally exhausted and ready for a nice long sleep (yay for three day holiday weekends) but fine. My rheumatologist has sent me a letter bringing forward my usual clinic date - beginning of October rather than mid-December now. I think he read the report from the specialist and got frightened ;-)
