Oh, Friday, I love you. Let's plan to date regularly, OK?
It is still looking uncertain whether we will make our release next week. I'll have a better idea on Monday. Ugh.
The cold/ick thing is still hanging around and has given me a phenominal headache. Hence my joy at Friday.
The office golf outing is going ahead, but without me. Just feel too ick, too sore, and too generally awful to think about standing around for four hours in the cold, damp wind. I have a sense that I'd get home and collapse in a shivering heap somewhere if I tried. I'm sad, because I was looking forward to it and there was going to be lots of free food around. Darn it, why does my body hate me?
Tomorrow we had plans for a day trip. As per the entire summer, this means that the second flood is now forecast for tomorrow and our day trip is probably cancelled. Neither of us want to consider driving through that. So we're planning a roast of some kind tomorrow night and a quiet day at home.
My book count for the month has been severely impacted by Perdito Street Station. Hopefully October will be better. Between my vacation and my planned reads (all fun, low-stress things) I suspect that I'll get through a lot.
