I love weekends so much
Apr. 9th, 2011 09:31 amIt is bright and sunny and beautiful out there. I am up, dressed, dosed with my daily pills and breakfasted. It's time to Get Things Done!
I actually have energy today, which I'm hoping means the Humira side-effects are finally easing off. Yesterday I made it to 1pm before wanting to crawl into bed and sleep, which was an improvement on Thursday, so I'm feeling hopeful that today will be even better.
To do:
1) Groceries
2) Baking
3) Exercise of some kind (possibly a nice walk, as it's so beautiful out there)
4) Watch golf
5) Laundry (er, just finished that)
It's not even that long a list, so there may be time in there for veging out with tea and a book.
Speaking of books...the first of my Abebooks order came in yesterday: I now own my own copy of Archer's Goon. Woo! I also got a new case for my Kindle, a gorgeous M-Edge thing that doesn't use the Kindle hinging system to hold the device. It appears that the Amazon un-lighted case is the reason behind a lot of the Kindle rebooting and freezing issues that people have been reporting and, as my Kindle has patches where it seems to reboot five times in a day, I decided to replace it. The Amazon case with a light is not a problem, but I have several book lights around the house and didn't want the extra weight, so I've gone for an M-Edge case instead. It seems to be slightly lighter than my old Amazon case, which is nice. And it folds all the way back if I want, to give me extra reading position options.
My Kindle is so lovely :-)
And now, I must away! I have the Archer's, the Now Show and yesterday's Today show highlights on my iPod, so it's time to hit the road and get some groceries.
