So, I called my agency today because they've been sending me notes about using up my holiday allocation by the end of September. I'd been hoping that I could take a couple of days off at the end of September when my parents are away so that I can have some peace and quiet time to work on non-work related things. Didn't expect to have more than a couple of days saved up but...
Six days :-) In other words, a week and a day. Best bit is that I plan to take it starting the Friday before the FDAS gathering, so my week off will start well. Woo!
Of course, the place that I'm contracted to may not be so happy, but I'll explain that it's a 'use or lose it' deal and if they're really desperate then I'm sure that my agency will be happy to provide cover while I'm off. So there.
A week's holiday! Yay! No Nutty Colleage for (quick count on fingers) ten days! Feeling very perked up now :-) May even be in the mood to finally finish writing that scene in Under Green Hills that has had me blocked for over a month.
