I believe that working on my research project has made me slightly insane. And easily amused :-)

Shock discovery

Well, I did a significant chunk of work on my research project today and, for once, I'm not panicking about it. I'm actually feeling slightly more confident that usual. I got enough of it done to satisfy the next assignment (due in the post at the end of next week) and there's a good chance that I'll get the assignment finished tomorrow. The great thing about that is that it leaves me with a weekend free that I assumed was going to be spent slaving over a software requirements. Whee! And no parents for the weekend! Gratuitous consumption of junk food (Chinese take out ::drool:: ) ahoy :-)

I had a productive day all round. Got my parents dropped off at the station at a silly hour this morning (romantic weekend in Lille - aw) and discovered that supermarkets are remarkably empty at silly hours in the morning. Thing to remember for the future.

I rewarded myself for the dedication to my studies with another episode of Watchers (got about fifteen to catch up on - yummy) and, disturbingly, I finally saw the Giles/Ethan slash. In a fanfic that isn't m/m slash. Written by predominantly femslash writers. I vow here and now that I will not be hunting down Giles/Ethan fic.

Of course, I said the same thing about Jack/Daniel after reading a Sam/Janet fic a couple of years ago :-)

The cat is sitting in my doorway, looking at me. How does he tell the time so well? He knows to the minute when it's supper time. Greedy stripy creature :-)
