A quick status note

I have heard rumours that there's a Harry Potter manuscript out there. I'd been planning to retreat from the Internet on Friday until I'd managed to read it, but I'm taking early action now, just in case.

I've removed all LJs from my default f-list that might potentially have HP-related content and I'm trusting that the friends who are left on there won't be leaving un-cut spoilers lying around.

I'm right to have that faith, right?

I hope so. I'm not on any HP communities but am curbing my net-surfing for the next week (until I finish the book). LJ - and in particular, my friendslist - is the only place I feel safe.

Yup, I'm being rather wary about my net surfing until I've finished the book. I know that there are always trolls around who take joy out of posting unmarked spoilers and they'll be out in full force for HP. Hopefully what remains of my f-list wouldn't do that :-) Particularly as I'll be avoiding all the big fanfic comms, whether related to HP or not, just in case!

And probably also avoiding LibraryThing :-( Much as I love my booky stuff, I'm wary of troll-like 13 year olds taking delight in irritating everyone on the site. There's been a rash of them lately.

*g* I have faith that you'll be good to me :-) I've seen HP5, but I'm not going to be leaving unmarked, uncut spoilers littered around for you to trip on. Or posting umarked, uncut spoilers for HP7 next week for everyone!
