It was a dark and stormy night

It is pitch dark here. 7.30pm, two days from the Summer Solstice and it's almost night.

Wow.

I'm sitting in the middle of a phenomenal storm. Thunder, lightning, torrential rain...the works. Sometimes you read in books that fork lightning splits the sky. I'm actually seeing the proof right in front of me. It feels like the storm is just circling around and around.

So. Damn. Cool!

Mum and I have been glued to the windows for half an hour watching it :-)

Did the power stay out for long? We got to keep ours, but it was rather touch and go for a while there :-)
