LibraryThing is down :-( This means that I cannot read bookish discussions during my off-moments today, which I was in the mood for.

So instead I shall dip into my f-list. Not that this is a bad thing, but it's not quite what I'm in the mood for right now.

Especially when I'm attempting to write a training guide to our most complicated, nasty routine in the department. Yurg.

Does your training guide include the warning that this is the most complicated, nasty routine? I think it's worth congratulating people when they master it ;-)

ARGH! You just reminded me that I was supposed to hand off some standards to someone.

Which means, of course, that I have to write them first.

Bummer.

Still, my eyes are crossing while going through the new version of the software I administer, so maybe this'll be a good thing. Wish I could get away with reading fic at my desk. I could test stuff, then read for five minutes to clear my head before going on to the next test task. Guess I'll have to rely on my flist for that relief.

Standards still not written. Maybe today. *sigh* Too bad telepathy is out of the question, it would be so much easier to just download them to the man. ;-)

But even if I could get into the sites without being blocked, I wouldn't want to risk it.

The joys of working on a university campus. ;-):-) Nothing's locked. On the other hand, unless I'm having lunch at my desk, I try to resist... even then I put up the "out to lunch" sign don't load images for those occasions when images might be a problem.
