Today I am mostly doing chore type stuff and college work, except for the time spent having coffee with [livejournal.com profile] historyterry this morning.

In the good news, my appointment at the hypermobility clinic will be 9th August at 10.30am. I have booked a day's holiday from work for it and I'm really hoping that my appointment doesn't get cancelled. This being the NHS, there is always that possibility. It's a Thursday so I'm thinking about booking the Friday off too as a long weekend. We'll see.

I also finally heard back from the insurance company about the accident a month ago - the third party has accepted liability (she rear-ended me, so I should darned well hope it was her liability!) and they are now going to start processing the refund of my excess. This also means that I can start shopping around for a new insurance company because my renewal is coming up and it's officially a woah quote. So, get better quote is one of those chores this weekend.

I have reformatted and partitioned my lovely new hard-drive, so I'm now transferring stuff into the great big general use drive (stuff that it won't kill me if it accidentally got deleted - videos, screencaps, music etc.) before setting up the backup into the other partition of really important data (photos, fiction etc.). And then I can start downloading stuff :-)

In discussion with T, I worked out that there are a few minor adjustments I need to make to the central character in A Sensible Man, but nothing too huge. Just accuracy stuff that thankfully doesn't totally ruin my overall plot. Yay me. So when I'm not choring or college-ing, I'll be working on that.

Wow, I really know how to live ;-)

In the bad news stuff, that frigging football match had better not go to extra time - BBC is planning to bump Doctor Who if it does and Sel Will Not Be Happy should she go without Doctor Who this weekend. Grrr.

Here's a link to the book I was talking about:

I think it probably will have. They made it into a BBC serial about ten years ago. Good luck!
