Ow and writing update
Aug. 23rd, 2004 05:22 pmMy back has decided that it hates me. I think that I pulled a muscle when I was shifting some stuff over the weekend. I know that I shouldn't lift heavy stuff, but there comes a point where you just don't want to be asking for help every time you want to make your damned bed. Anyway, that isn't unmanageable. Having the skin on my back decide to be sensitive and painful this morning is annoying. Having that sensation accompanied by the icky feeling you get at the beginning of flu is just plain yuck. Welcome to the world of FMS crappiness. Hopefully tomorrow I'll just have the strained muscle because it's massage day tomorrow and I really don't need my back to be doing the sensitive/painful thing. I need the muscles worked out, but it will be bloody painful for my massage lady to do that with my skin feeling this way. Grrr.

I worked on some background stuff for Mage Murders over the weekend. I didn't produce any new words for the novel itself, but I did write a sizable essay on background stuff that's important for the plot. Yay. I've decided to set myself a target: by the end of next year (2005), it will be finished and in a state where I'm happy to get some feedback from critics that I trust *not* to pat me on the back when it's really crap. This gives me about sixteen months to write my first publishable (hopefully) novel. It also gives me sixteen months to find a decent title *g*
Of course, there's also the fanfic projects to work on. I've got to get at least a couple of those off my uncompleted list by the end of the year. Why do I keep committing myself to writing so many things?
