The weekend (and Monday) in brief
Oct. 2nd, 2006 10:37 amI finished the French course!! This is, of course, the single most important thing to happen this weekend. I did my aural exam, I'm reasonably confident that I have managed not to totally fail and it's all over...until February next year, of course :-)
Which means that I can now begin getting sorted out for the forthcoming Canada expedition. Departure: 12.05pm Saturday.
Did the important shopping and grabbing of books from the library. Have started considering which clothes I will need to take and what I plan to buy while I'm out there. I'm going to start building a wardrobe over there to make packing and travelling easier. Got a full back-up of my PC done yesterday for the first time since...er...my last Canada trip. Da and I plan to store the external hard-drive somewhere not at our house as a really safe back-up incase of fire or theft. Not that we're paranoid or anything.
Today is running surprisingly smoothly for a Monday. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Those of my RL friends who know who my employer is may be amused by the media announcement today that we will be marketing our own brand software. Considering my frequent IT-related woes, this idea is rather laughable. We are slightly concerned in case they make us use it in the office...
