You were very stupid on Monday. How did you get more stupid? How is that even possible? And what could changing all my screen settings possibly do to fix a problem with links in Excel?

Did anyone catch the number of the Mac truck that apparently ran me over last night? I am having a using the walking cane day. Bleh. And feel very tired. And generally achey. But I got a few sentences down for the big French assignment last night, so go me! Not entirely convinced that it's comprehensible French, but it's French and there are verbs. Some of them may even be in the correct tense.

Will be getting to see yragg and sazzle_02 at the weekend, which will be losts of fun :-) terrylbirch is taking us to see Return to Forbidden Planet, a production that I've never seen before and am looking forward to. Plus there may be Chinese food involved :-) Is it the weekend yet?

I took a few minutes off last night to read a funny Sheppard/McKay bad sex story. I've missed fanfic :-)

I hope the compulsory noodlage will help a little. Did you want to let me know what time you're likely to come round on Saturday?

Enjoy Return to the Forbidden Planet (I'm not sure whether there's a "the" in there or not) ... it helps if you know a little Shakespeare (particularly The Tempest) but it's still fine if you don't (and the songs will be *very* familiar! And it's funny as well!) [1]


[1] I may have seen it once or twice in different productions (actually three different productions, but I saw it 26 times when it was on in London ... yeah, I know, sad! :-) )

Not sure if you'll be checking here, but my phone battery is dead (cut me off mid-call to the hospital this morning!) so I'll try to call you when I get home this evening. Anyway, I'm hopeful that I'll be round yours for 3pm tomorrow - sound OK?

Compulsory noodlage will help. Especially if I get my mitts on some tom yum prawns as well :-) And if you wanted to take a look over my French tomorrow, then you can laugh at my very bad verb usages.

This one was very stupid. Her final answer was "it's a Microsoft bug because I found a reference to a similar problem (that's actually totally different) on the Microsoft site that documents how it's one of Microsoft's 'undocumented features' AKA bugs". Huh. And she didn't try anything that I hadn't already tried and told her that I'd tried.

And they wonder why we hate the IT helpdesk!

I'm guessing that Return to Forbidden Planet is rather good, then? I know Shakespeare a little, although The Tempest is the one that I'm least familiar with. I'm sure that I'll have fun, though :-)
