My brain is obviously fried
Sep. 19th, 2006 07:35 pmThis morning, when making the important bithday announcement, I spotted that my Update Journal button had changed into Update Captain's Log.
My immediate thought?
"Is there something Star Trek-y going on today that LiveJournal is marking?"
It was only when a few people on my f-list had made direct reference to International Talk Like a Pirate day (as opposed to just talking like a pirate, which I didn't pick up on) that I realised what LJ was doing. And I do like the fact that today I have Mateys instead of Friends :-)
In my defence Actually, there is no defense.
Today started out well, and then the printer refused to acknowledge the existence of the new black toner I'd just fed it right when I needed to print eight copies of seven reports for a meeting. My day fell apart from then. But I still left at a reasonable time because I was too darned tired to do aught else.
And I had a nap when I got on. Turns out that Freddie Mercury is suprisingly soothing for that kind of thing...or I'm even more tired than I thought :-)
