The joys of correctly functioning IT
Sep. 11th, 2006 08:30 amToday is Monday and I made no effort to be in work ridiculously early. For the first time in months.
Despite this, I've already sent out two big reports and it looks like I'm going to have the data for my large analysis piece in around five minutes, three hours earlier than usual. All because my IT systems have functioned correctly today, with the most important part being a scheduler that allows me to set off those reports automatically rather than having to be here to press buttons.
Functional IT is wonderful :-) Can't guarantee it will happen every week, but we'll at least be able to point to this morning and say "look what we can do when our systems work!". And I should be able to scarper out of here at a sensible time tonight :-)
So that I can go home and revise my French stuff :-(
Still, it's less than four weeks before I jaunt off to Canada so...

terrylbirch: I am in no way interested in this, you understand, but did Connie make it through on Saturday?
