At last, it breaks!

selenayWe are finally having rain here! It's been a good, honest, complete with thunder storm here for the last two hours. The rain has just eased off, but hopefully this means that we'll be cooling down to something sensible.
Although the humidity meant that when driving home from town as it started, I had to put on the air con to keep the car from steaming up!
But yay for rain!
Sadly, our postman hadn't started his round early enough so we had rather a lot of fairly damp post arrive :-( Of course, if he actually delivered the post early in the morning when he's supposed to rather than early afternoon, he'd have missed the rain totally and been much less soaked.
I have nothing else interesting to say. Except that I appear to have started another original story. Bad Sel. I'll be taking the notebooks with Serpent Sequel in on holiday with me and hoping to get some work done on that before my mind gets absorbed by the new thing.
And now I must go to watch probably the tensest final time trial in the Tour de France since...er...2003. I'm cheering for Landis, like the sad sap I am.
