Sometimes it's the little things

selenayI've spent nearly four hours in the car today thanks to various crashes on both the journey in and the journey home. Can't wait to find something with a sane commute where four hours of driving is a rare occurance rather than a weekly excursion.
But today was the least unpleasant day of the week so far, work-wise, which isn't saying much but at least gave me a tiny bit of a break. Oddly enough, I've made several job applications and eagerly spoken to a couple of agencies this week. Can't imagine why I'm making such an effort on that front...
At least I've got a bank holiday weekend coming up and might stand a hope of getting some rest. And tomorrow I get to wear jeans to work :-)
I think that I'm too shell-shocked to really comment on anything fun or non-worky. It would certainly be easier to handle this workload and commute if I truly enjoyed the work or was excited about the projects that I'm working on, but I'm not so weeks like this become more than a wee bit wearing. Particularly when I'm revisting the same issue every day and the projects on my schedule won't really be a break from it. So, you know, new job needed in all ways now.
