Why did nobody tell me that Top Gear is side-splittingly funny? It was even funnier than the dog trainer I used to watch on Saturday - I almost killed myself laughing.

I didn't actually intend to watch it. I was resting my back and channel-flicking. But...

Why didn't anyone tell me that it was a comedy?

Now I have sore tummy muscles from laughing :-))

My landlady had it on while I was drying up and I was laughing. The same thing happened a few weeks ago and I remember having a short discussion on the subject with someone recently. And I can't remember who which is really annoying me now.

*raises hand*

But nobody ever believes me when I tell 'em. They all think I'm insane. Or a Pervy Clarkson Fancier. Or both.

I mentioned the madness that is Top Gear in my LJ the other week. They should class it as a comedy programme.

Take three slightly mad grown men, various cars and just sit back and watch the crazy stuff said men will do with and say about the cars provided.

My fault ...

... I should have said so ...

... it's no more a "car" show than "They Think It's All Over" is a sports show, "Have I Got News For You" is a current affairs show or "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" is a pop quiz.

This weeks amphicars was fantastic, but I think the convertable people carrier was even funnier (but it's a close run thing!)

may have to make a note to deliberately watch next week to see whether it stays that funny.

I was thinking that until I found that Ewan McGregor is on next week's, in which case I'll have to watch it either way :)

I'd deny it. *shifty look*

I wasn't all that interested in cars, my first mechanical love is still helicopters. It's... The cinematography. They take photos of cars that break a girl's heart.

And then there's the funny. http://www.finalgear.com look up the race episodes. The races are: James & Hammond on public transport vs Clarkson in a car. Verbier & Oslo are the best. Oh and you NEED the Winter Olympics Special. *nods cheerfully*

The Amphicars one is on a scale of the funniest ones about a 6. The funniest one I ever saw was Clarkson in a fighter plane chucking up in the loop-the-loop and getting out at the end looking very green!
