Worky worky...in comfort

Ah, the end of the four day weekend. Darn. I was just getting into the habit of actually sleeping properly.

But today I am working, although in comfort for once and with the hope of feeling half way alive at the end of the day. I am working from home :-) It's an experiment induced by a lack of transport today, but if it works out then I'll be hoping to do it more often. In theory, I should be able to take short back breaks to rest every now and again and that, combined with no commute, should leave me feeling much better than normal.

And hopefully able to do more work than normal, too. We'll see how this pans out because if it's a success, I plan on asking for a working from home day regularly. Or at least regularly until my back gets sorted out.

I'd love to get a work-at-home job as my health is kicking me in the head, though nowhere near as badly as yours is. More hugs for that, as I can really feel for ya. Hope the visit from Gary and the others was good? I haven't asked yet. ;) Am about to. Anyway, fingers crossed for ya. :)

I doubt they'd let me work from home full-time, but even getting a couple of days at home each week would really help at the moment. I just want to get to the end of the day not feeling like complete crap and not having to ration out my painkillers so that I have some hope of getting home. So hopefully this will be a successful experiment.

Visit from Gary and Saz was very good :-) I only got to see them on Saturday - had family stuff on Sunday and needed to get my head down to some work on Friday - but it was fab to spend time with them on Saturday :-)) Hopefully the next time they're around I'll have more time! But we did beautifully cheesy things, ate good food and had a blast :-)

*g* Well, I'm already feeling better because I was able to take a ten minute lie-down when my back got unbearable, which makes a huge difference. So I'll be pointing this out to Da Boss when we assess how today went!
